Founded in 794 during the Silla Dynasty, Bongeunsa has stood for over a millennium in the heart of Gangnam. It is a tranquil place of practice for monks and believers, and a cultural healing site for visitors. Programs such as tea ceremonies, sound meditation, and gold-paint sutra transcription share the Buddhist spirit of compassion and mindfulness with both locals and tourists.
